2.17 Power and Ground Pins
provide system power and ground to the chip. Multiple pins are provided
for adequate current capability. All power supply pins must have adequate decoupling (bypass
capacitance) for high-frequency noise suppression.
Some of the V
DD
and V
SS
pins on the device are only to be used for noise bypass.

CAUTION
Avoid connecting power-supply voltage directly to pins in
which
show only capacitor connections, as doing so could damage the device
severely.
