9.8 – Leg Rod Assembly
Within this section it will explain the correct procedure on removing and reinstalling the Leg
Rod Assembly for servicing procedures or replacement.
Removal
Step 1 – Place the Stand Aid on its side or front face for easier service – Gently rest it on its
side/front to avoid damage such as paint scratching.
Step 2 – Remove the Leg Actuator Cable. (Refer to section 9.2.3)
Step 3 – Remove the Leg Actuator. (Refer to section 9.6)
Step 4 – It is recommended to remove the Foot Tray for easier service, this is not a required
step (images below show Foot Tray still attached) – See section 9.13 for Foot Tray removal.
Step 5 – Using a 17mm and 13mm Spanners, detach the Leg rods from the Frame. A total of
4 screws are to be released to remove the 2 Rods.
Step 6 – To remove the Pivoting Plate, a 24mm and 19mm Spanner is required to remove
the nut. Grip hold of the Leg Rod Centre Shaft with the 24mm Spanner as shown.
