Vehicle Shutdown
Standard Shutdown Procedure
1.
With the vehicle stopped, set the parking brake
and put the vehicle in neutral.
2.
Turn the key to the off position to shut down the
high-voltage system.
3.
If the vehicle will remain parked for an extended
amount of time, chock the tires.
4.
If the vehicle is going to be parked for more than
two days, turn off the smart battery shut-off
switch. The switch is located to the rear of the
driver’s seat on the door side and appears as
shown in
To avoid accidental activation, the switch must
be pressed and held for one second.
Emergency Shutdown Procedures
The high voltage system can be shut off in the
following ways.
1.
Turn the key to OFF and remove the key.
2.
Press the eStop button located on the dash as
shown in
A lock can be inserted through the eStop button
guard to keep the button depressed.
3.
In addition, for the use of emergency responders,
a cut through cable access point, shown in

eStop button on the dash cannot be accessed,
emergency responders can cut the wiring at
either of these locations.
High-Voltage Battery
Deactivation
As the high-voltage batteries near end-of-life, there
are a series of escalating messages sent to the
