5.3 The Danfoss ERC-112 C/ D
The ERC 112 is a state-of-the art IP65-rated front panel refrigeration controller which is intended for
use in both glass door merchandising and commercial fridges and freezer applications. With four
inputs and four outputs, powerful algorithms and input from multiple sensors, the ERC112 delivers
energy-saving patterns as well as compressor, light, fan and defrost control. For more detailed
information and technical specifications please refer to the ERC-112 user manual.
Display
The temperature values are displayed with three digits.
Control buttons
The ERC 102 has four buttons
(see picture above) on the front which can be programmed to perform
different functions. Current configuration functionality:
a)
Upper left button: Press briefly to activate the ECO mode (energy saving). Keep pressed while in
a menu to indicate “BACK” (secondary function).
b)
Lower left button: Press briefly to switch the light off/on. Keep pressed while in a menu to
indicate “OK” (secondary function).
c)
Upper right button: Press briefly to increase the temperature set-point. Keep pressed while in a
menu to indicate “UP” (secondary function).
d)
Lower right button: Press briefly to decrease the temperature set-point. Keep pressed while in a
menu to indicate “DOWN” (secondary function).
Direct access functions
Changing the desired temperature set-point (applies similarly when using the Fahrenheit scale):
1) The display indicates the current temperature.
2) Press the up/down button to adjust the set-point. (Flashing: temperature set-point).
3) After 30 seconds, the display automatically reverts to the current temperature.
Turning the ECO function on/off:
1) Press button B briefly to enter the ECO mode.
2) The green ECO symbol is lit when in ECO mode.
Turning the light on/off:
1) Press the light button briefly to turn the light on.
2) To turn the light off, press again.
Switching between summer & winter mode (only available upon request for higher product
temperatures during winter period):
1) Press button C (up arrow) for more than 5 sec to switch from summer to winter mode
operation.
