•
Do not use the FRITZ!Box in areas where the use of radio
devices is prohibited. Obey any relevant warning signs
and instructions from authorized persons.
•
Follow any instructions to switch off radio devices in
hospitals, outpatient treatment centers, medical practic-
es or similar facilities. These requests are issued to pro-
tect sensitive medical equipment from potential interfer-
ence. Install and operate your FRITZ!Box at a sufficient
distance, and avoid areas in which the use of radio
equipment is prohibited.
•
Consult your doctor and the manufacturer about whether
any medical devices (pacemaker, hearing aid, electroni-
cally controlled implants, etc.) could be affected by in-
terference from your FRITZ!Box. The manufacturers of
pacemakers recommend maintaining a distance of at
least 15 cm in order to avoid potential interference with
the pacemaker.
Security Information on Electromagnetic Fields
The FRITZ!Box receives and transmits radio waves during op-
eration. The FRITZ!Box was designed and constructed to com-
ply with the threshold values for the exposition of radio
waves recommended by the International Commission on
Non-ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP).
This directive was formulated by independent scientific orga-
nizations after regular and careful evaluation of scientific
studies. It includes a large safety margin in order to ensure
the safety of all persons, regardless of their age and health.
For devices mounted in a fixed position that have their own
power connection, like the FRITZ!Box, compliance with the
minimum distance of 20 cm defined in the ICNIRP guideline
has been certified (the measurements were conducted in ac-
cordance with the European EN 50385 standard).
If the minimum distance of 20 cm is not complied with, the
threshold values of the corresponding directive may be ex-
ceeded.
