Adopting Settings from the FRITZ!Box (without Mesh WiFi)
Overview
You can adopt the wireless LAN settings of the internet router at the
touch of a button. You only need this feature if your internet router is
not a FRITZ!Box, or if your FRITZ!Box does not support Mesh.
The wireless LAN settings adopted are the wireless network name
(SSID), network key, channel settings, wireless guest access and wire
less switching schedule.
Rules
•
If you change the wireless LAN settings in the internet router, you
will have to adopt the new settings on FRITZ!Powerline again;
Advantages of Adopting the Wireless LAN Settings
•
When establishing a wireless connection, wireless devices like
smartphones, laptops and Smart TVs automatically select the
wireless network (FRITZ!Powerline or internet router) with the
stronger radio signal.
•
If you move to a different location in your home with a wireless
device (notebook, for instance), the device switches automatically
between the two wireless networks.
