On vacation
■
When you want to leave for vacation, you had better to make the
refrigerator operate continuously and leave foods that can be
stored for a short time. If you want to stop the refrigerator, remove
all foods, disconnect the power plug, clean the inside of
refrigerator fully, and open the door to avoid producing abnormal
odors.
■
When leaving for vacation, it is suggested to turn off the ice maker
switch, empty the ice storage box, close the water valve, and stop
using the ice maker function.
At power failure
■
Generally, short-term power failure will not affect the temperature
of the refrigerator sharply. However, if power failure lasts for a long
time, you shall reduce the opening frequency of refrigerator, and
shall not put fresh foods into the refrigerator (prevent rise in the
temperature of refrigerator from speeding up).
■
If you know power failure is coming, you can turn on the “Super
Frz.” function in advance to keep the temperature of refrigerator to
the lowest value.
■
When power failure lasts for a long time, you need to take out the
ice storage box and discard to prevent ice cubes from melting into
water that will flow into other parts of the freezing chamber.
Shutdown
■
Generally, it is not suggested to stop refrigerator or turn off the
power switch; otherwise, the life of refrigerator may be affected.
If the ambient temperature is too low during shutdown, the
remaining water in the water system may be iced; in this case,
please contact technicians to come for emptying the
refrigerator.
Switch off the ice maker
■
If the ice maker function is not needed for a long time, please
switch off the ice maker temporarily;
Hint:
This only disables the ice making function; the remaining ice
in the ice storage box can be taken still, and water system operates
normally.
■
Press “ICE OFF” button for 3s to switch off the ice maker,then the
ICE OFF icon is lighted.
■
After the ice maker is turned off, the ice/water icon on the control
panel is displayed still, and “ICE CUBES / ICE CRUSHING / ICE
WATER” button is enabled, not affecting ice/water discharge.
CAUTION:
Before switching off the ice maker, you must disconnect the water
system of refrigerator several hours in advance; after switching off
the ice maker, empty and clean the ice storage box, and then put it
back.
When the ice maker function is enabled, if there is ice in the ice
storage box still, ice may fall during self-check of the refrigerator.
