Information on the extraction system, intended use
Intended use
The MIG/MAG manual welding torch is intended solely for MIG/MAG welding in manual
applications.
Any other use is deemed to be "not in accordance with the intended purpose.” The
manufacturer shall not be liable for any damage resulting from such improper use.
Intended use also means:
-
Following all the instructions in the Operating Instructions
-
Carrying out all the specified inspection and maintenance work
Requirements for
the extraction
unit
It is recommended to only connect den Schweißbrenner to extraction units that meet the
following requirements:
1.
Extraction capacity of at least 100 m
3
/h (= volumetric flow)
-
if the value is lower, there is a risk that the welding fumes will not be completely
extracted
-
a higher value means there is a risk that shielding gas will be unintentionally
sucked off the weld seam
2.
At least 13,000 Pa (130 mbar) generated negative pressure
-
with longer welding torches, the volumetric flow (and thus also the negative
pressure) in the welding torch must be increased accordingly
-
the following table shows the recommended negative pressure for a gas-cooled
welding torch and a water-cooled welding torch in each case
-
the following diagram shows the relationship between the volumetric flow and
the negative pressure generated in the welding torch (= extraction characteristic
curve)
