Tighten the shaft nut (12) with a hook spanner (do not bend the tab of the tab washer
until after the function test)
Mount the spring (6) mounting plate (36)
Hook the spring (6) into place
Tighten the bottom rod-end (38)
Set the correct brake clearance (see “Setting the brake clearance”)
Set the wire tensile-force limitation (see: “Setting the wire tensileforce limitation”)
Set the braking force (See “Adjusting the braking force”)
Carry out a function test (see: “Care, maintenance and inspection”)
Re-mount the side guard panel
Close the VR 4040
Changing the braking lever, complete with friction linings
