Chapter 2: Setup
2.3 Recovering from Android Sleep
In order to preserve battery life, the Android tablet will normally go to sleep after a set
amount of time (this time is changeable and the sleep feature can be disabled). To reawaken
the tablet, press the power switch on the Android tablet momentarily and then slide the lock
to the right when it appears. The Colt Audiometer Program will wake up where you left off.
2.4 Recovering from Android Power Down Sequence
Try a brief touch of the tablet power switch first to see if the tablet has gone into its sleep
mode. If a touch does not awaken the tablet, it has been turned off. It is then necessary to go
through the entire reboot sequence as described in Section 2.2.
2.5 Recovering from a Line Power Failure
In the event that the line power momentarily fails, the Colt Audiometer Base unit may reset
to its original power-on state. If this happens, just exit the Colt application on the tablet,
power cycle the base unit and start the Colt application again.
2.6 Changing the Android Tablet Sleep Settings
In order to change the amount of idle time before the Android tablet goes to sleep:
1. Press the circular button in the middle of the home screen.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Display.
4. Select Sleep.
5. Select the desired idle time interval.
6. Touch the Close button to close the settings display:
2.7 Powering Down the Colt Audiometer Base
Exit the Colt application on the tablet before using the power switch on the Colt Audiometer
Base to power it down.
2.8 Powering Down the Android Tablet
Use the power button on the upper left side of the Android Tablet and select OK.
