Note: If the tactile option is installed with the Colt audiometer, the frequency knob can only set
both channels to one frequency. Use the tablet sliders to set different frequencies.
SISI:
Touch the REVERSE tab for the test channel. Leave the stimulus in the other channel off. Touch
the PULSE tab to enable the action. Adjust the level, frequency and desired dB resolution (1, 2
or 5, see section 3.1.7 ) as needed.
A test stimulus is generated at a level higher than the steady state tone as set by the dB tab in a
short pulse every 5 seconds.
DLI :
Touch the REVERSE tab for the test channel. Leave the stimulus in the other channel off. Touch
the PULSE tab to enable the action. Adjust the level, frequency and the desired dB resolution
(1, 2 or 5, see section 3.1.7 ) as needed.
A test stimulus is generated at a level higher than the steady state tone as set by the dB tab
alternating at 250 milliseconds on and off.
This option is somewhat similar to SISI.
3.2 The Colt Audiometer Speech Screen
To enter the Colt Audiometer Speech screen, press the Speech button located in the upper right
corner of the Audiogram screen. See Figure 3.1 and 3.2. You can perform speech testing by us-
ing your choice of the built-in speech tests on the Colt system, live voice, or speech tests from
an external CD or MP3 player.
