Keep clean from dust and dirt where possible to prevent
contaminants entering fuel.
Regularly inspect all associated pipework, engine
mountings (on the diesel powered model) and gaskets
etc. for signs of wear and deterioration. Replace
immediately where required as complete failure could
result in accidental fuel spillage and/or irreparable
damage to the unit.
Ensure the separate operating guide for diesel engines
which power those particular trailers are referred to,
ensuring the engines are regularly maintained and
serviced when required.
Regularly inspect the battery terminals and connecting
cables and ensure there are no loose or damaged
connections. Ensure no corrosion builds up on battery
terminals.
All batteries are maintenance free throughout their
lifespan.
On solar units, ensure the top mounted solar panel is
regularly cleaned and is placed in the sun so it has the
ability to recharge on a regular basis.
In the event of a loss of suction on a diesel powered unit
repriming may be necessary.
1.
Remove the plug at the top of the centrifical pump
2.
Refill the pump with diesel
3.
Replace the plug
4.
Commence pumping as per usual (do not forget to
open the suction isolation valve)
