The dual axle construction makes the trailer well balanced
and easy to tow even when fully loaded. The torsion
suspension provides a smooth ride over rough terrain or a
balanced ride at higher speeds on a highway.
Heavy duty radial tubeless tyres on standard 17 inch rims
are used for optimum performance and safety. A spare
tyre is supplied.
Wheel nuts should be periodically inspected and
tightened if necessary. The trailer bearings are sealed and
only require inspection annually.
If a tyre change is required due to a puncture, the
recommended jacking point would be underneath the U
bolt base plate. The vehicle should not be towed with a
deflated tyre and replaced immediately.
The same safety precautions should be adhered to when
jacking and replacing any vehicle tyre.
A jack capable of supporting a fully laden trailer in excess
of 2,000kg should only be used and by trained personnel
used to this sort of procedure.
The trailer must not be jacked up on uneven or unstable
ground and slowly moved to a more suitable surface.
Users are liable if tyre damage occurs at this time.
Where possible, before jacking, the trailer should be
slowly moved to first available level and stable ground. A
vehicle must be hooked up and the park brake applied
and all engines switched off.
The jack should be introduced and additional chocks
inserted before any wheels are removed. Prior to jacking,
wheel nuts should be slackened.
Upon replacement of the tyre, wheel nuts should be
securely tightened. At no time should personnel be
under or anywhere near a jacked up or unsupported
trailer.
