1.
Safely position the towing vehicle and refuelling
trailer adjacent to the fuel source. Apply all vehicle
park brakes and turn all engines off.
2.
Using the trailer dip point with calibrated dipstick,
establish how much capacity is in the trailer to be
able to safely receive more fuel.
3.
Ensure the vent point is clear and free from
obstruction and functioning correctly prior to filling.
4.
Remove the fill point and introduce the refuelling
nozzle safely.
5.
Commence refuelling and monitor closely the
quantity of fuel being introduced to prevent
overfilling.
6.
Upon completion of safe filling remove and retract all
nozzles and pipes, replace all filler caps and dust caps.
7.
Check it is safe to drive away and proceed to the
desired refuelling location.
8.
Under no circumstances leave the unit unattended
whilst filling.
Avoid inhalation of vapours and
mists, and skin or eye contact and
wear suitable protective clothing at
all times. Do not use near ignition
sources. Maintain high standards of
personal hygiene i.e. Washing hands
with soap and water prior to eating,
drinking or using toilet facilities. For
