Wi-Fi Direct Connection Troubles
IPv6 Connection Problems
Cannot connect to wireless LAN using WPS-
PIN (PIN code method)
Check if the PIN code entered in the wireless LAN access point is
correct.

Cannot set the network mode on the
machine to Ad-hoc mode.
The mode cannot be set if the Wi-Fi Direct port is active.
Symptom

Cannot find the machine from a mobile
device.
The machine may be connected with other mobile device via Wi-Fi
Direct. Terminate the connection with other mobile device.
Cannot connect the machine with a mobile
device.
When you are connecting to this machine using the Wi-Fi Direct
feature of an Android device, configure [Group Settings] to [Group
Owner] on this machine, and then check again.

Cannot disconnect a mobile device from the
machine.
A mobile device automatically reconnect with the machine.
Either change the passphrase of Wi-Fi Direct or disconnect at the
mobile device.
Cannot enable the [Wi-Fi Direct] setting.
Check if the network mode is set to infrastructure mode.
Make sure that [IP Mode] is configured to a mode other than [IPv6
Mode].

The machine cannot be accessed when
specifying a link-local address
Add a scope identifier to the link-local address.
For example, when using Windows to specify
fe80::203:baff:fe48:9010 for access, add an Ethernet adapter local
area connection number (8, for example) as the scope ID, and
enter: fe80::203:baff:fe48:9010%8.
The machine cannot communicate with
Windows operating systems that van use
IPv6.
Configure a fixed address with a Windows OS that can use IPv6.
Register the configured fixed IPv6 address on the machine as a
communication-enabled host address.
The Secure Watermark feature does not
properly function when printing over an
IPv6 network
Run under an IPv4 environment.
The Secure Watermark feature does not work in an IPv6
environment.
Cannot find an IPv6 device under UPnP
In an IPv6 environment, use the Web Services on Devices (WSD)
discovery function.
Authentication fails if a computer name is
specified in the SMB server settings of SMB
authentication in an IPv6 network
environment that does not have a DNS
server.
Directly specify an IPv6 address for the computer name in the
authentication server parameters.
