Precautions When Handling Documents
Observe the following precautions when handling documents:
z
The scanning area may become soiled if documents contaminated by glue or
adhesive tape, or documents on which corrective fluids have been used are placed
in the scanner. Take extreme caution when using stick-type glue or glue spray.
Soiling of the scanning area can cause unwanted lines on the scans.
z
Do not use documents that have been folded, wrinkled, perforated or had holes
punched in them. It may result in paper jams, and tearing.
z
When rolled documents are to be used, ensure that the diameter of the rolled
document is 40 mm or larger. You must flatten the leading edge of rolled documents
with a diameter of less than 40 mm.
z
When scanning thick documents, hold them with your hands while being scanned.
