3 Basic Operation
Exiting the Power Saver Mode
To exit the Power Saver mode, press the <Power
Saver> button on the control panel.
Loading Documents
Two choices of document input areas are available: the document glass and duplex automatic document
feeder (hereinafter referred to as the "document feeder").
Use the document feeder when scanning or copying multiple-sheet documents simultaneously.
Note
• If loading additional documents while the first document is being scanned, load them in the same document input area as
the first document.
• You cannot change the document input area during a job. Only one document input area can be used for a single job.
Supported Documents
Documents that meet the following criteria can be scanned from the document glass or document feeder:
*1 Gram per square meter (g/m²) refers to a weight in grams of one square meter of paper.
*2 These values apply when scanning or copying documents 2-sided.
