Use exposure compensation when photographing very bright, very dark, or high-contrast subjects.

button.
The exposure indicator will be displayed.

eff ect is visible in the display.
Choose negative values
to reduce exposure
(“–” sign turns yellow)
Choose positive values to
increase exposure
(“+” sign turns yellow)

Return to shooting mode.

button to return to shooting
mode.

Take pictures.

Note
A
d
icon and exposure indicator are displayed at set-
tings other than ±0. Exposure compensation is not
reset when the camera is turned off ; to restore normal
exposure control, choose a value of ±0.
