4-3-10. [ A ]: AF Adjustment
Select A on the Adjustment Items Select Screen.
When the A key is pressed on the PC keyboard the
AF Adjustment Start Screen (Fig.16) appears. Pro-
ceed with the adjustment in accordance with the in-
structions on the PC screen. The adjustment proce-
dure and description are given below.
<Step 1>
AF adjustment proceeds in the following sequence.
INF adjustment
→
600mm adjustment
→
800mm
adjustment
Prepare the 600mm conversion lens and the AF
chart (Fig.19) before beginning adjustment.
* Align the center of the AF chart and the center of
the camera LCD border.
<Step 2>
First run INF adjustment. Place the camera in the
required position (Fig.C on P15), fit the 600mm con-
version lens to the camera, and press the Enter key.
The PC then automatically begins AF adjustment.
<Step 3>
When INF adjustment is complete the 600mm AF
Adjustment Start Screen (Fig.17) is displayed. Re-
move the 600mm conversion lens and press the En-
ter key. The PC then automatically commences
600mm AF Adjustment.
<Step 4>
When 600mm adjustment begins, the 800mm adjust-
ment is also calculated automatically by the PC, and the
AF Adjustment Completion Screen (Fig.18) is displayed.
<Step 5>
When the Enter key is pressed in the AF Adjustment
Completion Screen (Fig.18) the system returns to
the Adjustment Items Menu Screen (Fig.3). Proceed
with any other necessary adjustments. Always se-
lect [E]: End Setting to complete adjustment (see
P29 for details).
