Connecting the Embedded Switch Module through chassis

The internal Ethernet connection is the default configuration and no action is required.
Figure 6
shows the default port control setting on the Fujitsu PRIMERGY BX900 S2 Management
port.

Connecting the Switch Module to the fabric
NOTE
Refer to
“Cabling guidelines for fiber-optic cables”
on page 18 before beginning the following
procedure.
Before beginning the following steps, determine whether the Brocade 6545 16 Gbps FC Switch
Module is in Brocade Access Gateway mode or Fabric OS Native mode. This affects the
configuration process.
1. If the Switch Module is in Fabric OS Native mode, continue with
step 2
and
step 3
. If the Switch
Module is in Access Gateway mode, go on to
step 4
.
2. Log in to the Switch Module through a Telnet connection.
3. Modify the domain ID, if required, using Switch Module CLI commands. Refer to the “Domain
IDs” section of the
Fabric OS Administrator’s Guide
for more information.
