When using an analogue monitor check, if the monitor adapter supplied with your workstation is
connected correctly.

Switch on the external monitor and the workstation.
The external monitor is blank or the image is unstable
Two causes are possible: An incorrect type has been selected for the external monitor or the wrong
screen resolution has been set for the application programme.

If the fault continues to occur after ending the programme, switch over to the workstation's internal

Characters or digits do not appear on the screen on entering
The entry speed is higher than the transfer speed of the radio keyboard.

Connect the radio keyboard to the workstation with the PS/2 cable supplied with your
workstation.
The workstation does not start after switch on
If the workstation does not start after switch on, this may be due to one of the following:
The battery is not installed correctly.
Ê
Switch off the workstation.
Ê
Check whether the battery is installed correctly in its compartment.
Ê
Switch the workstation on.
The battery is dead
Ê
Charge the battery by connecting the power adapter to the workstation.
Ê
If the battery doesn't charge, replace the battery.
Or
Ê
Install a charged battery.
The power adapter is not connected correctly.
Ê
Switch off the workstation.
Ê
Check whether the power adapter is connected correctly to the workstation.
Ê
Check whether the power cable is plugged properly into the power adapter and into the mains
outlet. The indicator on the power adapter should illuminate.

Switch the workstation on.
