9.2 Functions in the Action Area for Connectivity

CHAP User ID
Specify the user ID to access the target iSCSI host. It is not necessary to specify
this item if CHAP Authentication is not used.
If the iSCSI host has already been registered in the ETERNUS DX Disk storage
system, the user ID is displayed.
Configure a user ID and a password as a pair.
Only when an iSCSI host has been selected, the user ID can be specified.
The following input condition applies:

1 - 255 alphanumeric characters

Change CHAP Password
To register the CHAP Authentication password, select the checkbox.
Only when an iSCSI host has been selected, the checkbox can be selected.

CHAP Password
Specify the password to access the target iSCSI host. It is not necessary to specify
this item if CHAP Authentication is not used.
Configure a user ID and a password as a pair.
The password can be entered only when the iSCSI host has been selected, and the
"Change CHAP Password" checkbox has been selected.
The following input condition applies:

12 - 100 alphanumeric characters and symbols

Confirm CHAP Password
Enter the password again for confirmation to access the target iSCSI host. It is not
necessary to specify this item if CHAP Authentication is not used.
The confirmation password can be entered only when the iSCSI host has been
selected, and the "Change CHAP Password" checkbox has been selected.
The following input condition applies:
•
12 - 100 alphanumeric characters and symbols

A confirmation screen appears.
If the iSNS server has not been configured in the procedure in
"9.2.3.8 Configure iSCSI Port" (page 357)
, the iSCSI host cannot
be automatically acquired.
