Background Switching Mechanism Error
When a background switching mechanism error occurs, one of the following error codes appears on the LCD of
the scanner's operator panel.
F4:C2 Background switching mechanism error (ADF Front)
F4:C3 Background switching mechanism error (ADF Back)
Take the following measures.

If documents remain in the scanner, refer to

●
Make sure that sufficient power is supplied. Do not use an extension cable.
●
Use the power cable and USB cable that are supplied.
●
Refer to
to clean the inside of the ADF.
●
Turn the scanner off then back on.
If the problem persists, write down the error code and contact the distributor/dealer where you purchased this
product. Refer to the contact information in the Contact List or the Contact for Inquiries section in Safety

Fan Error
When a fan error occurs, the following error code appears on the LCD of the scanner's operator panel.
F6:EC Fan Error
Turn the scanner off then back on.
If the problem persists, write down the error code and contact the distributor/dealer where you purchased this
product. Refer to the contact information in the Contact List or the Contact for Inquiries section in Safety
Precautions bundled with this product and make an inquiry.
Motor Circuit Error
When a motor circuit error occurs, one of the following error codes appears on the LCD of the scanner's operator
panel.
H1:80 Motor circuit error (Feed 1 motor)
H1:8A Motor circuit error (Feed 2 motor)
H1:8B Motor circuit error (EXIT motor)
H2:81 Motor circuit error (Separator motor)
H2:82 Motor circuit error (Pick motor)
H2:8F Motor circuit error (Hysteresis brake circuit)
H2:90 Motor circuit error (Solenoid circuit)
H3:8C Motor circuit error (Hopper motor)
