SIM card
A SIM Card (Subscriber Identity Module) is a chip card which is inserted in a mobile telephone or
notebook and, together with an integrated UMTS module, enables access to a mobile radio network.
When handling SIM cards, follow the instructions supplied by the provider.
Inserting the SIM card

Prepare for insertion of the SIM card, see chapter
"Preparing to remove components", Page 105

Open the protective rubber cover of the SIM card slot.
Do not pull on the SIM card lock! The lock could break off otherwise. Always
slide the lock in the direction of the arrow as shown.

Slide the SIM card lock (a) in the
direction of the arrow (1).
The clip (a) controls the power supply for
the UMTS module. The UMTS module is
switched off while the clip is open.

Slide the SIM card as shown into
slot (2) until it engages.
►
Slide the SIM card lock (a) in the
direction of the arrow (3).
►
Close the protective rubber cover of the SIM card slot.
