Turn off your computer and disconnect the AC adapter if it is connected.

Plug a LAN cable in the LAN port on the back of the computer.

Plug the LAN cable in the network device.
Connect the other end of the LAN cable that you connected in step 2, to the LAN port of the
network device.

Connect the AC adapter to the computer and turn the power on.
5.
Click the Start button, and select Control Panel.
6.
If the
(Power Options) icon is not found in the Control Panel window, click “View all
Control Panel options.”
7.
Click the
(Power Options) icon.
8.
Click
of “System standby” on the Power Schemes tab, and select “Never.”
9.
Click OK.
10. Make all necessary network settings.
Critical Point
When disconnecting the LAN cable from the LAN port, pull it while pushing in the tab to
avoid damage to the plug.
When using the LAN device, you should preferably power your computer from the AC adapter
since the LAN device consumes a large amount of electrical power.
The built-in LAN device in your computer cannot be used along with any LAN card.
