Symptom
When you suspend or standby
transmission through a COM
port, eg, a dial-up connection
using the Dial-up networking
Service, you are unable to
conduct normal transmission
after resuming the operation.
When you click the Search
button during searching device,
the name of the detected
Bluetooth
TM
device cannot be
obtained.
If you are using the default FAX
function of Windows XP or
Windows 2000, the FAX does not
function properly unless it is
connected with Plugfree.
Possible Causes & Solutions
Try the following steps to resume transmission.
1. Close the communication software.
2. Restart Plugfree, then connect using Plugfree.
3. Resume transmission.
Device Search first detects devices, then obtain device
names. Depending on when you press the button for the
second time, the Name Discovery process may be
interrupted.
Confirm that you are connected to your Bluetooth
TM
counterpart device via a FAX Service, then restart the default
FAX function of Windows XP or Windows 2000.
Restarting Method:
1. Click the “Start” button, (“Setup”,) then “Control Panel”.
The step in brackets is for Windows 2000 only.
2. Open the “Management Tools” window, then the
“Services” window.
3. Right-click “FAX (Service)” and select “Restart”. For details
on operating “Services”, see Help in your OS.
