LEFT-SIDE PANEL COMPONENTS
Following is a brief description of your LifeBook note-
book’s left-side components.
Air Flow Vents
The air flow vents assist in the proper cooling of the
system.
USB 2.0 Ports
The four USB ports (two on the left side panel and two
on the rear panel) allow you to connect Universal Serial
Bus (USB) 2.0 or USB 1.1 devices.

Optical Digital Audio-Out/Headphone Jack
When used as an optical digital audio-out, this jack
allows you to download digital audio onto a MiniDisc
recorder’s SPDIF (Sony Philips Digital Interface) format.

. When used as a headphone jack, this
jack allows you to connect headphones or powered
external speakers.

Microphone Jack
The microphone jack allows you to connect an external
mono microphone.
