11. Screen Resolution and Color Display

Available Resolutions And Numbers Of Displayed Colors
The table below shows the available combinations of the resolutions and the numbers of displayed
colors with regard to the LCD display. Do not set these parameters to values other than those shown
below.
The PC is initially set at 1024 x 512 pixels and high color (16 bits).
Using a resolution other than 1024 x 512 pixels causes the display mode to change to the entire
screen display, which enlarges the displayed images spreading to the entire LCD display. Refer to
POINT below to change this setting.
*1 The display area is hidden. Move the scroll/mouse pointer to make it appear. Only the area
specified as 640 x 480 pixels appears when the screen is switched to the normal display mode.
Move the scroll/mouse pointer to show the hidden part.
*2 Images are displayed using 16.77 million colors by means of the dithering function, which shows
pseudo colors.

Take one of the following actions to change from the entire screen display to the normal display:

Press [Fn] + [F5]. Pressing them again to resume the previous display mode.
•
High Color (16 bits) displays 65,536 colors and True Color, 16.77 million colors.
•
Some applications may not work normally due to the setting of the number of displayed colors.
Check the operational environment of the application you use and change the number of dis-
played colors accordingly.
