Additional safety notes for devices with
radio components

If a radio component (Wireless LAN, Bluetooth or UMTS) is integrated in your notebook, you
must be sure to observe the following safety notes when using your notebook:

Switch off the radio components (the ON/OFF switch must be in the "OFF "position),
when you are at an airport or driving in a car.
•
Switch off the radio components (the ON/OFF switch must be in the "OFF" position),
when you are in a hospital, an operating theatre or near electronic medical equipment.
The transmitted radio waves can impair the operation of medical devices.
•
Switch off the radio components (the ON/OFF switch must be in the "OFF" position), when
you take the device close to

ammable gases or into hazardous environments (e.g. petrol
station, paintshops), as the transmitted radio waves can cause an explosion or a
fi
re.
