As an optional step, you can secure the cradle at the work site using one or both of the following
methods:
• Secure the cradle using a Kensington lock. The cradle base provides a Kensington Security
Standard slot, called out in Figure 2-7, which is designed for use with Kensington locking devices
such as the Kensington MicroSaver security system. Contact a Kensington dealer to obtain an
appropriate security product.
• Fasten the cradle to the desktop by installing 1/4” screws in the mounting holes in the cradle
base. The mounting holes in the cradle base are shown in Figure 2-9. (Obtain screws of an
appropriate type for your installation.)

Attach the AC power cord to the AC adapter and plug the other end into an AC outlet.
The high-usage cradle is ready to use. To confirm that external power is being supplied to the pen tablet
by the AC adapter, see “Confirming External Power Is Supplied” on page 2-31.
