Management Blade BMC
Updating BX300 Components
Only one management blade installed:
Ê
Specify the
TFTP Server IP Address
providing the image file for the
management blade firmware.
Ê
Specify an
Agent Update IP Address
.

The IP address to be supplied in the field Agent Update IP Address
is only temporarily used. Enter any IP address which is not used in
the LAN segment of the server.
Ê
Enter the
Boot Image File Name
for the management blade image file.
Ê
Set
TFTP Update Enable
to
enable
.
Ê
Click the
Apply
button.
Ê
After the update process has been completed, the management blade will
be rebooted.
Two management blades (master/slave) installed:

Make sure that both management blades are connected to the LAN.
Ê
Specify the
TFTP Server IP Address
providing the image file for the
management blade firmware.

Specify an
Agent Update IP Address

The first (master) management blade (green LED lights) firmware will be
updated. After the update process has been completed, this management
blade will be defined as slave and the second management blade (old slave)
as (new) master.
Ê
Repeat the update procedure for the second management blade.
After the update process for the second management blade has been
completed, the original master/slave configuration will automatically be
restored.
