The Server Blade
Exchanging/Adding Procedures

Assemble the new HDD with the bracket and the IDE adapter, and mount it
in the empty HDD location on the server blade as described in section
“Installing an Additional Hard Disk Drive” on page 83.

Insert the server blade into its slot in the system (see figure 63 in the section
“Inserting the Server Blade” on page 99).
8.5.4
Exchanging the Battery
In order to save the system information permanently, a lithium battery is
installed to provide the CMOS memory with a current. When the charge is too
low or the battery is empty, a corresponding error message is provided. The
lithium battery must then be replaced.

on page 16.
Incorrect replacement of batteries may lead to a risk of explosion. The
battery may only be replaced with an identical battery or with a type
recommended by the manufacturer.
Make sure you insert the battery the right way round. The plus pole must
be at the top!
The battery is located under the second memory SDRAM or DDR RAM module.

Remove the second memory SDRAM/DDR RAM module from its socket
(see figure 43 on page 82 in the section “Exchanging/Adding Procedures”).
