Control and Connection Panel
The control and connection panel of booth types of server blade is identical and
can be accessed from the front of the system below the front panel (figure 37).

The following operating, indicator and connection elements are available
(figure 37 on page 76):

Power button fully compatible with Advanced Configuration Power
Interface (ACPI)
When the server blade is switched OFF and you press the power
button, a
power_up
command is send to the management blade and the
server blade will be switched ON.
When the power button is kept pressed for 4 seconds, the server blade
will be switched OFF and a
power_off
notification command will be send
to the management blade (power button override).

Power/Select indicator (bicolor LED)
dark:
System is switched OFF or this server blade in not
correctly inserted.
lights amber:
Server blade is switched OFF, system is switched ON.
blinks amber:
Server blade is switched OFF and has been selected
for identification or this server blade is failed.
