Replacing the server blade
I
Ensure to note down your current network settings before replacing the
server blade.
When replacing server blade, network configuration settings in the
operating system will be lost and replaced by default values. This applies
to all static IP address and LAN teaming configurations.

If possible, save the BIOS settings as described in section

If possible, save the iRMC settings as described in section
Ê
Exit all applications and shut down the server blade correctly. If your
operating system has not switched off the server blade, press the on/off
button on the server blade control panel.

If applicable, remove the HDD/SSD modules from the server blade, see
section
"Removing the 2.5-inch HDD/SSD module" on page 109

Ensure to take note of the HDD/SSD modules mounting positions for
reassembly.

Remove the server blade from the system unit, see section

Open both server blades, see section
Ê
Remove the heat sinks from the defective server blade, see section
"Handling processor heat sinks" on page 201

Remove the processors from the defective server blade and install it into the
new server blade, see section
"Upgrading or replacing processors" on
Field Replaceable Units (FRU)
Average hardware task duration: 50 minutes
Average software task duration: 10 minutes
