13.3 Minimum startup configuration
If the server does not start up or other problems occur, it may be necessary to
take the system down to its most basic configuration in order to isolate the
defective component.
The minimum startup configuration consists of the following components and
cables:

Shut down the server as described in section
"Shutting down the server
node" on page 41

Ê
Remove the AC power cord from the cable tie and disconnect it from the
system as described in section
"Disconnecting the power cord" on page 42

Ê
Take the system down to its minimum startup configuration.
Ê
Reconnect the AC power cord to the power supply module and secure it with
a cable tie as described in section
"Connecting the power cord" on page 73
.
Ê
Switch on the server as described in section
"Switching on the server
node(s)" on page 75
.

CAUTION!
Since the fan module is not included in the minimum startup
configuration, the server must be shut down immediately after the
diagnostic process is complete (POST phase has been passed).
