Connecting the server to the line voltage
The server is equipped with a modular hot plug power supply consisting of a
maximum of three power supply units. Depending on the configuration of the
server with drives, processors, and boards, a redundant power supply can be
set up with two or three power supply units. If a defect occurs in one unit, the
remaining units ensure unimpaired further operation. The defective unit can be
replaced during operation.
The power supply units automatically adjust to a voltage range from 100 V to
240 V.

Ê
Plug the delivered power cord into the insulated socket of the server (1) and
into a properly grounded power outlet of the main AC supply circuit (2). With
the rack model, you can also plug the power cord into the grounded socket
strip on the rack (2) (see the technical manual for the rack).
If the power supply unit is connected to the line voltage, the yellow status
indicator of the power supply unit lights. The green status indicator of the power
supply unit lights when the power supply unit is ready for operation, or it remains
dark when the power supply unit is in standby mode.
