Configuring chipDISK
In order for
RemoteView
to be started automatically, you will first need to enter
the hard disk drive parameters in BIOS Setup and, using these parameters,
boot from the hard disk drive. Proceed as follows:

Start the server.
Ê
Press
[F2]
when the message
Press <F2> to enter SETUP
is displayed on the
screen.
Ê
Select the menu item
IDE Drive 1
from the
Main
screen page in the BIOS
Setup.
Ê
Set the value
Type
to
USER
with the following CHS parameters:
Cylinder: 490; Head: 2; Sectors: 32.
Ê
Select the menu item
Server
from the BIOS Setup.
Ê
Set the value for
Diagnostic System
to
enabled
. Then set the entry for
Next Boot
Uses
to
Diagnostic System
.
Ê
Save the settings, and exit the BIOS Setup.
The server boots MS-DOS and
RemoteView
from the chipDISK.

software is not yet installed on the chipDISK, install the
software as described in the manual for
