2.2.2 Connecting the AC adapter
You can use an AC adapter with the remote service board. The detailed information about
the AC adapter that can be used with the remote service board is described in the User’s
Manual provided with the remote service board.
Prohibited Actions
・
Do not damage or remodel the AC adapter. Also, if
heavy objects are placed on the AC adapter, or the AC
adapter is pulled, unnecessarily bent, twisted or heated,
the power cable will be damaged, resulting in fire or
electric shock.
・
Do not insert or unplug the power plug with wet hands.
Doing so might cause electric shock.
・
Do not use the AC adapter when it is damaged or when
the plug slots on the power outlet are loose. Using the
AC adapter and power outlet in this state might cause
fire or electric shock.
・
Wipe off any dust on the AC adapter electrodes and
plug slots on the power outlet using a dry cloth. Using
the AC adapter and power outlet in this state might
cause fire or electric shock.
・
Use the AC adapter at only the indicated power
voltages. Do not use at other power voltages. Also,
never plug the AC adapter into a multi-plug power
strip. Doing so might cause fire or electric shock.
Prohibited Actions
・
Use only the AC adapter described in this manual. Do
not use other AC adapters. Also, do not modify nor
disassemble the AC adapter. Doing so might cause fire
or personal injury.
・
Do not cover or wrap the AC adapter in cloth during
use. Doing so might cause heat buildup or cause fire.
Temperature
Use the AC adapter attached to the remote service board in an
environment that dose not exceed the required condition of the
AC adapter regardless of the operating state (during operation
and during stoppage) of the server unit. In particular, turn air
cooling on at night or on holidays as necessary in summer to
prevent the ambient temperature from exceeding the required
condition of the AC adapter. Failure to observe temperature
conditions might cause fire or malfunction.
