Connecting procedure
1.
Connect the AC adapter into the remote service board.
Connect the AC adapter’s power plug to the external power connector of the remote
service board.

Plug the AC adapter's power plug into the power outlet.
2.2.3 Setting up system resources
After attaching the remote service board on the server unit, check the setup of the system
resources.
The system resources that can be assigned to this product are sometimes restricted. Refer
to the user's guide provided with the server unit, and check the system resources
assignment restrictions.
After attaching this product on the server, check the system resources assigned to this
product, and change them as necessary.
For details on how to check and change the system resources assigned to this product,
refer to the user's guide provided with the server unit.
The remote service board operates by power supplied from the AC adapter or
from the server unit. The AC adapter, however, is required for monitoring
server power supply errors. To improve reliability, we recommend that the
power plug of the AC adapter for the remote service board is connected to a
power supply different from that to which the server unit's power plug is
connected.
