Pull the SFP+ transceiver module out of its socket connector.

Attach the protective optical port plug to the transceiver optical bores.

Place the removed SFP+ transceiver module in an antistatic bag or
other protective environment.

Replacing SFP+ transceiver modules
For Fiber Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) configurations, the ethernet server
adapter is equipped with one or two SFP+ (small form-factor pluggable)
transceiver modules.
