5.14.3 ip snooping vlan
Function
Enables IGMP snooping of each VLAN.
The IGMP snooping can be enabled for each VLAN only after you have enabled the global IGMP snooping using the “ip
snooping protocol” command.
Use the no form to return to the default setup.

ip snooping vlan <1-4094>
no ip snooping vlan <1-4094>
Parameter
vlan <1-4094>
Enables IGMP snooping for the specified VLAN.

Message
% Global IGMP snooping is not enabled.
Explanation
The global IGMP snooping of the XG700 is disabled.
Solution
Enable the global IGMP snooping using the “ip snooping protocol” command first, then reissue the “ip snooping
vlan” command.

The specified VLAN has not been created.

Solution
Create a VLAN using the “vlan” command first, then reissue the “ip snooping vlan” command.
% More than 128 total max-group per system.
Explanation
The registration number of multicast addresses allowed on the entire system has exceeded the limit (128
addresses).
Solution
Reduce the maximum number of other VLANs using the “ip snooping vlan max-group” command, or disable the
IGMP snooping function of other VLANs.

Enable IGMP snooping of VLAN 2:
