USING THE FREEZER COMPARTMENT

storing frozen food.
When you purchase frozen food always bear in mind
the following factors:
- The packaging or packet must be intact, otherwise
the food may spoil.
- If a packet is swollen or shows damp marks, it has
not been stored in optimum conditions and may have
started to thaw.
- Purchase frozen food goods last and transport them
in an insulated box.
- As soon as you arrive home, place the frozen goods
immediately in the freezer compartment.
- Avoid or reduce variations in temperature to a mini-
mum.
- Keep to the expiry date shown on the frozen food
package.
- Always follow the instructions on the packaging on
how to preserve the frozen foods.
- The maximum amount of fresh food that can be frozen
is shown in kg/24h on the rating plate with the techni-
cal specifications.
- Wrap the food in: aluminium foil, transparent film,
plastic waterproof packaging, covered polyethylene
containers, freezer containers.
- Avoid placing food that has to be frozen in contact
with food that has already been frozen so that the
latter does not under go a rise in temperature.
If there is a power failure, the freezer compartment will
keep its preserving temperature for about 12 hours. Do
not open the freezer door during a power cut.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
DO NOT put ice cubes in your mouth and do not eat ice
lollies immediately after taking them out of the freezer,
as they can cause cold burns.
DOT NOT introduce sealed containers with liquids, such
as drinks, etc. in the freezer. Hot food and drinks must
be cooled down before placing them inside the freezer.

period for frozen food in that this varies considerably ac-
cording to the nature of the food itself. To be safe, always
follow the instructions reported on the packaging of frozen
food products. The food that has to be frozen should
be prepared in small portions: max. 1 Kg.
