Information about the use of ACN vs ACM
The alert command sentence formatter ACM is defined in IEC 61924-2 Ed. 1. After Ed. 1 was
released, the ACM is used by other criteria and the IEC technical corrigendum adopted the
sentence formatter ACN to replace the ACM. However, equipment released before the adoption of
the ACN may use ACM. This equipment uses both ACN and ACM.
