Saw chain
To ensure safe and proper operation, the saw
teeth must always be sharp.
The saw teeth must be filed down when:
- the sawdust assumes a powdery state;
- additional force is required for the incision;
- a straight incision is no longer possible;
- the vibrations become stronger;
- the fuel consumption increases.
Instructions for filing the saw teeth:
Always wear safety gloves.
Warning! Setback can result from not
following the instructions.
Before filing:
- Make sure that the saw-chain is firmly
clamped.
- Make sure that the motor is switched off.
- Use a round file with the appropriate size for
the chain:
Model FX-KS146: 0.325 / 058 - 64
Model FX-KS142: 0.325 / 058 - 64
Place the file on the saw tooth and turn it into
Push straight alignment forward. Keep the
position of the file as shown in the illustration.
