MESSAGES
The PWG-500 enables you to send SMS (Short Message
Service) messages to your friends and relatives. Refer to
this section to learn how to send and receive instant text
messages.
Writing a message
1. Click
Menu/Select
and then select
Messages
,
Cre-
ate New
to start creating a new text message.
2. Key in the message using the alpha-numerical key-
pad. See “Entering text” on page 23.
3. Press
Menu/Select
after you finish writing the mes-
sage and a list of contacts is displayed. Select the
contact to whom you want to send the message
and press
Menu/Select
to send the message.
4. Alternatively, you can key in the number of the
recipient of the SMS and press
Menu/Select
to
send the message.
The sent messages are saved in the outbox automati-
cally.
Reading messages
When you receive an SMS message, a new message
icon is displayed on the PWG-500’s screen. To read your
messages, do the following:
1. Press
Menu/Select
and then select
Messages
,
Inbox
to view a list of messages received. If the
message is received from a person in the phone
book, the person’s name is displayed. Otherwise,
the phone number of the sender of the SMS is dis-
played.
2. Scroll and press
Menu/Select
to read the newest
messages.
