9 Maintenance:
The G-kit takes little maintenance during normal operation.
a. It is advised to change the bulb every year because of the
reduction of light output.
b. Replace the filter after 1 year. The active carbon looses its
functionality after 1 year. In a very humid environment the
filter can break down faster.
c. Replace the pre filter (with cloth around the filter) more often
when the box is in a dusty place.

The major activated carbon filter (ACF) killers
NO. 1:
cigarette smoke; Never smoke near an ACF.
Cigarette smoke is the strongest service life reducer of the activated
carbon.
NO. 2:
moisture;The activated carbon no longer works with
humidity over 85%.
No reaction can take place in the filter; therefore the air is not
neutralised.
NO. 3:
dirt;Dirt particles damage and block the activated
carbon pore openings, whereby a reaction to neutralise the air can
no longer take place at these points.
