Installation
3.1 Preparatory work
Before starting the installation, check that all the required products are complete and functional.
Correctly mount/deburr or check profile cutouts, door hardware drill holes and cable bushings in
accordance with Appendix A3 or the relevant enclosed installation instructions.
Check existing cutouts etc. for correct seating.
Thoroughly remove any swarf in the profile.
Retract the connecting cable on the secured side of the door. Take care not to bend the cable.
Provide for a sufficiently large cable loop (~50 mm).
Protect the connecting cable against abrasion.
(
Recommendation:
use protective hose B 5490 0308)
Provide a cable disconnection point in the area of the cable link to make it easier to remove the door.
Max. cable length from the lock to the controller/junction box is 10 m (length of pre-assembled
cable). In addition, larger cable cross-sections may be required to prevent voltage drops (see Fig. 2).
Attention electronics: make sure the lock recess is free of swarf and clean!
