5.2.9. TIG AC PROCESS – MIXED ARC.
This arc combines one phase in alternating current with another phase in direct current. We will define the number of
alternating current cycles to be carried out (AC Voltage Control) and adjust the percentage of the DC wave time with
respect to the AC wave (Control% DC). We can regulate the alternating current frequency (FAC Control), besides adjust-
ing the wave balance (Balance Control) and adapting the cord penetration (Penetration Control).
The type of arc will be accessed exclusively from the TIG AC operating mode and the phase cycling of the AC current
can be combined (Sinusoidal-Square-Triangular) (See AC Operation Mode).
