9. MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS. RECOMMENDATIONS.
In order to provide a long life to the equipment, we must follow a basic maintenance rules. Heed these recommenda-
tions.
A GOOD MAINTENANCE CAN AVOID A LARGE PERCENTAGE OF FAILURES.
9.1. MAINTENANCE. GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS.
Before performing any operation on the machine or welding cables, we must set the machine switch to "O" position.
Only specialized personal can make repair and maintenance operations.
USE PERIODICALLY COMPRESSED AIR INSIDE THE MACHINE TO CLEAN IT
The internal accumulation of metallic dust is one of the main causes of breakdowns in this type of equipment since they are subject
to a great pollution..
As a fundamental measure the equipment must be separated from the welding place..
Keeping the machine clean and dry, ALWAYS.
The interior must be blown with clean compressed air and dry as often as necessary.
After blowing check that the electrical connections are correctly tightened.
THE MACHINE SHOULD WORK WITH THE POST-WRAP ALWAYS.
PLACE THE MACHINE IN A LOCATION WHERE THERE IS AIR RENOVATION.
KEEP FREE OF OBJECTS THE MACHINE VENTILATION AREAS.
KEEP WELDING ACCESSORIES IN GOOD CONDITION OF USE.
ONCE THE WELDING OPERATION IS FINISHED AVOID THE DIRECT CONTACT OF THE CLAMP CARRIER
WITH THE WELDING MASS AND THE REST OF PARTS CONNECTED TO IT.
DO NOT DISCONNECT THE MACHINE IF HOT, PLEASE WAIT WHILE COOLING SYSTEM FULLY ENCLOSED.
9.2. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR REDUCING ANNOYANCE BY ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY (CEM)
The user is responsible for the installation and use of the welding material following the instructions of this manual and
the following recommendations::
Before installing the welding material you must bear in mind the near presence of:
•
Power cables, control, signaling and telephone cables.
•
Radio and television receivers and transmitters.
•
Computers and other control equipment.
•
Critical safety equipment.
•
People with heart peacemaker or hearing aids.
•
Measurement and calibration material.
BEAR IN MIND THE TIME DAY WHEN WELDING WILL BE CARRIED OUT.
MOVE AWAY THE POSSIBLE RISK GROUPS FROM THE WELDING INSTALLATION INTERFERENCE.
ELECTROMAGNETIC DIFFICULTIES MAY EXIST IN OTHER ENVIRONMENTS CAUSED BY DRIVEN AND RADIATED
DISTURBANCES. IN THE EVENT OF SUPPLYING OR ADDITIONAL NETWORK FILTERING, CONSULT WITH OUR TECHNICAL
SERVICE.
ALWAYS CONNECT THE MACHINE TO POWER SUPPLY WITH AN EFFECTIVE GROUNDING.
IN CASE OF GROUNDING TO WELD BEAR IN MIND THE OPERATOR'S SAFETY AND NATIONAL REGULATIONS.
USE WELDING CABLES AS SHORT AS POSSIBLE AND PLACED ONE TOGETHER TO ANOTHER NEAR THE
FLOOR.
