Operating Instructions
Insert cooking plates.
1. Make sure the 3-in-1 sandwich maker is unplugged and completely cool down when inserting or
removing desired cooking plates.
2. To remove the current plates from the 3-in-1 sandwich maker, just press the cooking plate
release button and remove the current cooking plate.
3. Insert the desired cooking plate, push it down and snap the other side of the cooking plate into
place. Repeat the same for second cooking plate.
Making toasted sandwiches (closed position)
Never let the sandwich maker operate unattended.
1.
Place the sandwich plates in the appliance (see above for inserting and removing cook-
ing plates).
When you insert the plates properly, you will hear a click.
2. Lightly grease the plates with a little butter or oil.
3. Insert the plug into the wall socket.
4. Prepare the ingredients for your toasted sandwich.
For each sandwich you need two slices of bread and a suitable filling. Read the chapter
‘Recipes for toasted sandwiches’ for suggestions. Lightly butter the sides of the bread that come
into contact with the plates to obtain an even, golden brown result.
5. The sandwich maker is ready for use as soon as the indicator light goes out.
Put two slices of bread with the buttered sides on the lower plate, spread the filling onto the
bread and put two other slices of bread on top, with the buttered sides pointed up. You can also
toast only one sandwich, if you wish. To ensure optimal sealing, fillings should not be spread
too close to the edges of the slices of bread.
6. Close the appliance.
Lower the upper plate carefully onto the bread.
7. Open the sandwich maker after 4-6 minutes.
Check whether the toasted sandwich is golden brown. The cooking time depends on the type of
bread and the filling and on how crispy and brown you want your toasted sandwiches to be.
8. Remove the sandwiches.
Use a wooden or plastic utensil (e.g. a spatula) to remove the toasted sandwiches from the
sandwich maker. Do not use metal, sharp or abrasive kitchen utensils. To continue making
sandwiches, place two new slices of bread on the lower plate when the green indicator-light
goes out.
9. Unplug the appliance after use.
